Jesse Martinez Jr.

Obituary of Jesse Lee Martinez Jr.

In Loving Memory:  Jesse Lee Martinez Jr. or better known as “DJ Chuey” a remarkable soul whose life was touched by the divine intervention of God, entered in eternal life on February 3, 2024. His journey on this earth was a testament to the power of miracles and the profound impact one person can have on the lives of many.

Born on January 24, 1965, to the parents of the Late Jesse Lee Martinez Sr. and Delma. He grew up with his 2 younger brothers, Shane Martinez (Irma) and Late Aaron Martinez.  Jesse faced numerous challenges throughout his life. However, it was during a critical moment in 2020 when his life hung in the balance that a miracle occurred. Through the grace of God, Jesse was saved, defying all odds and leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who witnessed this extraordinary event. Jesse was a source of hope and inspiration to all who knew him. His Trust in Jesus and his gratitude for the second chance he was given radiated from his very being. Praying the Rosary and the divine mercy daily, He lived each day with a profound sense of purpose, cherishing every moment and spreading love and kindness wherever he went. He couldn’t go anywhere without knowing someone.  Whether it was by sending out the encouraging word every day or the conversations he would always have with his close cousins and nephews, he was a role model to many. Jesse will be remembered also for his passion for music as his “burned Cd’s” will stay in the hands of many. As well as his talent and passion for art/Drawing.

Jesse was a devoted family man, cherishing his role as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His unwavering love and support were the foundation upon which his family thrived. He leaves behind a legacy of love, unity, and strong faith that will continue to guide and inspire generations to come.

Jesse is survived by His Lovely wife Dawn Martinez of 36 years. As he would always say “Theres no Dawn without Jesse, and no Jesse without Dawn”.  Together they shared Three Beautiful Daughters Erica Valdez, (Dave Valdez), Tara Janay, and Alyssa Martinez. His girls were his world. Jesse also loved spending time with his 2 grandsons Jordan Valdez and Laurence Martinez whom they affectionately called “PA” and a Godfather to his God Daughter Shayla Trujillo.

As we bid farewell to Jesse Martinez, let us remember the incredible journey he embarked upon. His life was a testament to the miracles that can occur when faith and divine intervention intertwine. May his memory serve as a reminder to cherish each day, to embrace the power of love, and to never underestimate the impact one person can have on the lives of many. In our hearts, Jesse will forever remain, a symbol of hope, resilience, and a true man of God.
