Margaret Kasubke

Obituary of Margaret Ann Kasubke

Margaret was born at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado, on January 5, 1937 to Walter Kasubke and Frances (Hoagland). She passed away peacefully in Loveland on January 21, 2024, where she has spent the last couple years. She lived most of her life in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

The Kasubke family started attending Bethlehem Lutheran Church in 1946 and Margaret was confirmed on May 13, 1951. Margaret loved her church and was a loyal member ever since.

Margaret graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1955, and worked at Presbyterian Hospital for her career as a File Clerk. Margaret spent lots of her time volunteering at Lutheran Medical Center. Her many joys included spending time with her friends and family, reading, tackling jigsaw puzzles, watching musicals and movies such as The Way We Were with Barbara Streisand and Robert Redford, the occasional trip, and her sweet dog Muffy.

Margaret’s devotion to her family was just one of the admirable things about her. The incredible care she gave her parents enabled them to be snowbirds between Wheat Ridge and Desert Hot Springs for 25 years. Then opening the family home to her nephew David was a perfect situation for the family.

Margaret was preceded in death by: Walter and Frances Kasubke and sister-in-law, Marilyn Kasubke. She is survived by her brother, Tom Kasubke; sister, Kathy Loer; two nephews, Rob Loer and David Kasubke; two nieces, Mitzi Loer and Kimberly Kasubke(Chris Doucet); two great-nieces, Brooke Wallace and Lexi Wallace; and great-nephew, Tanner Doucet.

Margaret will be greatly missed, as she was the consummate daughter, sister, friend, and aunt. Those who knew her feel blessed to have had her presence in their lives for as long as they have.
