Obituary of Jack Carl Enyeart

Jack Carl Enyeart, 79, long time Loveland resident and member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, passed away on January 15, 2024. Jack was born in Breckenridge, Colorado, on September 6, 1944, the second son to Kate and Walt Enyeart. He grew up in Breckenridge, hunting, and fishing with his family. He attended Summit High School and graduated from Central High School in Grand Junction. He briefly attended Mesa State where he played football before moving to Illinois to help take care of his grandfather.

At a community dance near Chicago, Jack met the love of his life and future wife of 56 years, Kathleen Mucha. They were married on September 9, 1967. While in Chicago, Jack completed a Tool and Die apprenticeship at Ford Motor Company and attended Purdue University receiving a degree in Vocational Education. In 169, his daughter, Michelle, was born. The call of Colorado was strong, and in 1971 they moved to Pueblo where Jack taught at Southern Colorado State College, and his son, Chris was born in 1972. The family moved to Loveland, in 1973. Jack taught Machine Shop at Larimer County Voc-Tech Center, (now Front Range Community College). A summer job at Hewlett- Packard turned into his next career where he worked for 25 years at HP and Agilent until his retirement.

Jack was a dedicated husband, hunter, fisherman, teacher, trail guide, coach, traveler, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved spending time in the mountains with family and playing cards with friends. Kathy and Jack were passionate about travel and enjoyed touring and camping in their RV. They always made time for gatherings of family and friends or grandchildren’s events. They never missed a wedding, celebration or invitation no matter where in the world it took place like; Ecuador, Australia, Croatia, Alaska and Hawaii, to name a few.  He was lifelong teacher who showed countless people how to cast a fly, shoot an arrow, learn to ski, woodwork, or tell a story.

Jack is survived by his wife, Kathy, their two children, Michelle Moore (Aaron) and Chris (Angela), three grandsons, and a granddaughter. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother and sister-in-law, and many friends and relatives. His stories, his life, and his guidance live on through his children, grandchildren, friends and students.
