Betty Jean Glaser Briggs left this life on November 12, 2023. At 95, she was living at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Broomfield when she closed her eyes.

Betty was a very sweet, caring person and was loved by everyone she knew. She was born September 2, 1928 to William Edison Chapman and Beulah Anna Chapman(Wells). The oldest of eight children, she grew up on a farm south of Eckley, Colorado.

Betty was very proud to be a member of the Telephone Pioneers, as well as Sam’s Camping Club, Eastern Star, Amaranth, Amico and the First Christian Church of Loveland.

After retiring from U S West (Mountain Bell) with 31 years of service, she married Paul Briggs in 1994. They traveled, visiting friends and family, in a RV, and were snowbirds in Lake Havasu, Arizona. They also enjoyed their yard and volunteer work together.
