Obituary of Thomas James Henessee

In loving memory of Tom, who peacefully passed away on November 12, 2023, after bravely facing a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's. He leaves behind a legacy marked by his profound love for family, his enthusiasm for the 1950s and 1960s era, particularly in the realms of cars and music.

 

Tom dedicated much of his life to auto mechanics and local trucking, eventually becoming the proud owner of his own successful trucking business. One of his proudest moments was securing the prestigious First Place National Award in 2008 for expertly restoring his 1929 Dodge Brothers Texaco gas truck, recognized by the VMCCA.

 

His absence will be deeply felt by family and friends. Tom's remarkable qualities, achievements, and contributions, as well as his passion for life, will serve as a lasting inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we bid farewell, may his spirit find open roads and bask in the timeless beauty that defined his journey.

 

Tom is survived by his wife Cathy, son Don (Tina) & son Mike. Grandchildren Tarah (David) & Kayden, Jennifer, Cody (Lexie), Mitchell (Catherine), Jordan & Hannah. As well as eight great-grandchildren.

 

Celebration of Life will be held November 30th, 11am at 4044 Hammans Ct in Loveland.
