Susan Bosch

Obituary of Susan Jean Bosch

Susan Jean Bosch, 75, of Loveland, CO, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, October 15, 2023.

Susan was born in Wilkes Barre, PA on March 10, 1948, to Paul and Margaret Mocko. She grew up in Little Falls, NY, with her parents, three brothers and sister. She was the middle child of the five Mocko children. She was a devoted daughter, caring for both parents in their sunset years, as well as her in-laws in theirs.

She was a smart, hardworking lady. She graduated from Little Falls High School in 1966 and graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in geology. She began her career at Bank of America, and spent many years working for Freightliner, becoming a valued employee. She retired from Freightliner in 2013.

She was a loving and devoted wife. She married the love of her life, Ronald Bosch, on November 20, 1976. She met Ron through her brother Paul and Ron’s twin brother, Donald. They fell in love at first sight and Ron proposed to her at Emerald Bay in Lake Tahoe two weeks later, and they were married only four weeks after that. They relocated to Ron’s native Oregon to raise their family. Their 46-year marriage was beautiful to witness; their love and devotion to each other, through hardships and heartache, in the mundane and the blissful, was a shining example to her family and friends.

She was an exceptional mother. Her two sons, Ronald and Tim, were her pride and joy. She was a strong mother who raised her boys to be strong and instilled in them strong family values. She taught them to be as hardworking as she was, thoughtful and generous, loving and kind.

She cherished her role as a grandmother. Not long after her first grandson Robbie was born, she convinced Ron to relocate to Colorado to be closer to Tim and his family. She spent every possible moment she could with Robbie and Jack, watching them whenever she could, taking them to school, and cheering them on in sports.

She was generous and kind. She lived a life of faith which was nurtured in the Lutheran church. She had an incredible dry wit, and loved telling stories and jokes, just like her mother. She provided invaluable advice and used the wonderful logical side of her mind to work through any problem.  Above all, she was a rock. Her strength and resiliency were unparalleled. The example she set for her children and those who knew and loved her will be one of her greatest legacies.

Susan is survived by her son, Timothy (Leah) Bosch, her two grandsons, Robbie and Jack, brothers Paul Mocko, Robert (Carol) Mocko, John (Caroline) Mocko, brother-in-law, Bruce (Fran) Bosch, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Margaret, her son Ronald, and her husband, Ronald.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 11-3 at 1644 Hoehne Street, Loveland, CO.
