Obituary of Elaine Ann Cox

Elaine went to be with the Lord 4/11/2023. Elaine was born 9/16/1936 in Tabernash Colorado. She graduated from Englewood High School in 1954. After high school she married Henry M Pruitt, they had 2 children Claudia and Mark. She is survived by her sister Nadine Benson, her brother John DeSanto, her daughter Claudia, her son Mark, and several nieces and nephews. Elaine's mother and father were John and Gracie DeSanto. Elaine and Hank and their two children raised Siberian huskies in Evergreen Colorado for race and show. They also had three house dogs, several cats, horses, and chinchillas.

Elaine became an award-winning pet groomer. She loved animals, walks in the mountains, camping, and just loved nature in general. After 25 years of marriage Hank and Elaine decided to go their own ways and a couple of years later, she was remarried to Bob Cox until his passing due to brain cancer in 1996. Shortly thereafter, Elaine chose to move to Norton Kansas to be closer to her mother. After several years her mother was relocated back to Colorado with Elaine's sister Nadine where she spent her last days.

Twelve years ago, Elaine became ill and was relocated to Logan Manor in Logan Kansas. The staff at Logan Manor gave her 12 years of Love and excellent care! Elaine suffered from dementia and eventually died of natural causes. She was still aware of her surroundings and her people that she lived with and was happy and peaceful when she went to meet the Lord 4/11/2023. Elaine was brought back to Colorado by her daughter Claudia and laid to rest with her husband Bob at the Littleton Cemetery in Littleton Colorado.

Elaine will be missed by many.
