Helen Finney

Obituary of Helen Louise Finney

Helen Louise Finney of Loveland passed away in her home on Saturday, February 25 at the age of 87.  Born in Masonville, CO on November 5, 1935 to Elmer and Marguerite Hersh, Helen was one of 13 children.  She was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers, four sisters, and her son, Guy Frank.  Helen is survived by daughter Jolene (Tim) Keck of Arlington, TX, granddaughter Catie Keck of Ft. Worth, TX, and grandson John Keck of Arlington, TX.  She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.

As per Helen's wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held following cremation, but she will be forever in our hearts.  Her loving and generous nature will be greatly missed by those who knew her.  Helen did not fear death.  She expressed that she had lived a long and full life and would want us to rejoice with her rather than mourn.  Helen's spirit is epitomized in the following quotes:

"We have courage and are well pleased rather to be away from the home of the body, and to be at home with the Lord."  ~~  2 Corinthians 5:8

"Though she be but little, she is fierce."  ~~  Shakespeare

Condolence messages may be sent to the family c/o Viegut Funeral Home at www.viegutfuneralhome.com.  In lieu of flowers, Helen's memory is best honored by living out the same spirit of generosity towards others that she exemplified in her own life.

We miss you, little Chickadee.
