Obituary of Shane Robert Olson

On Friday January 27, 2023 Shane Olson passed away at his home in Loveland, Colorado from a pulmonary embolism. Shane was born on December 10, 1975 in North Platte, NE to John and Debi Olson. He grew up on 5th Street in a neighborhood full of wonderful families.  Lots of close friends and happy times there and at the cabin at Lake Maloney. He moved to Loveland, Colorado in 2014 and was employed by Safeway where he was a member of the UFCW union.  

Shane loved family get togethers, fishing, frisbee golf, Husker football and baseball, cooking and visiting the many NoCo breweries with his brother. He was preceded in death by his father John Olson of Loveland and grandparents Vern and Joyce Olson and Ken and Gene Lamb of Nebraska.

Surviving Shane are his mother Debi Olson of Loveland, brother Shawn Olson of Loveland, sister Aimee Uhl and her husband Shawn Uhl and nieces Lauren and Emory Uhl all of Fort Collins, great Aunt Jo Keyser of Callaway NE, aunt Penny Olson of Aurora, uncle and aunt Bob and Patty Olson of North Platte, NE, uncle and aunt Steve and Karin Lamb of Lincolnshire, IL, and aunt and uncle Sandi and Bob Sterling of Blue Spring, MO, along with many cousins and friends and importantly his fiancée Jennifer Roberson-Clark of Loveland and his crazy cat Ivey. 

A celebration of life open house will he held on Saturday, February 18th from 1:00-3:00 at the Stone Creek Community Club House located at 2920 Ariel Drive in Loveland.

Please come dressed casual and please be ready to tell your best stories of Shane. We all wish to live through his memory.
