Obituary of Patrick Alan Scohy

Patrick Alan Scohy passed away suddenly Saturday, January 28th, 2023. 

He was born in Fort Collins November 1st, 1964. Pat lived his whole life in Loveland and attended Thompson Valley High School, where he graduated in 1983. At TVHS he played the French horn in the marching band as well as being an excellent baseball player and quality catcher.

He played T-ball as a young child to baseball as a teenager, he continued to coach after graduation and was very active in the Thompson Valley Baseball program. His love for the sport carried on as he played softball for numerous community teams.

He joined the Loveland Fire Department in 1985. He was so honored to serve his hometown of Loveland as a first responder for 13 years. He was the first one to help anyone in need and took pride in being a part of such a strong brotherhood. With his kind, gentle, and dedicated nature, there was not a better fireman to have at your side. He was so dedicated that he once left his parents on the side of the road so he could attend a call.

Pat took his love for community into his career, and worked for over 20 years at McKee Medical Center. He worked in multiple departments with many great people, always in service to others. He finished his time at McKee as the Fire Prevention Safety Officer.

Pat always liked to pull a good prank on his friends, family, and coworkers. He enjoyed watching sports, woodworking, laser engraving, and riding his Harley Davidson.

Pat is proceeded in death by his father; John Scohy. He is survived by his mother, Marina; daughter, Kayla; brother, Stephen (Angie); niece, Sarah; nephew, Nick; and ex-wife/good friend, Becky. As well as his loving extended family.
