Obituary of Stacey Allayne Wilkins

Stacey Allayne Wilkins 74, passed away December 9th, 2022 peacefully after a brief illness.

 


Stacey was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa February 1st, 1948 to Paul and Wilma (Reese) Kubu.


 

She married her first husband Richard Fink December 1967, two children were born from this union, daughter Heidi, and a son Jamie. They later divorced and Stacey made her way to Minnesota and then Colorado, working for the VA until her retirement. 



 

In 1981 Stacey was one of the first participants to donate bone marrow to a patient she matched with at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. We are so proud of her for this!

 


Stacey was later united in marriage to Delbert Wilkins and she was devoted to their Jack Russell Terriers.
 Stacey has always been a Dog Advocate and wonderful Dog Mom.

 



She had a green thumb with her amazing gardens, and was a master crafter with yarn and sewing - She has a lot of projects for her daughter to finish!

 

  
She is survived by her daughter Heidi (Darren) Hubler, her 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, along with her sisters Susanne (Darrell) Torrence, and Laurie (Larry) Wacker, Nieces Jennifer (Pat) Sterling, Melissa(Carlos) Tyree, Nephew Angus Wacker, her Wilkins extended family and her many many cousins! 



 

Stacey was preceded in death by her loving parents, her brother Doug Kubu, husband Del, and her son Jamie. 


 

Please, no flowers, a celebration of life service will be held this summer in Iowa.
