Obituary of Lee Ann Landers

Lee Ann Landers passed on January 6, 2023, at her home in Loveland, Colorado. Lee Ann was born the youngest of three children to parents Frank Landers and Virginia Anderson Landers on July 25, 1949 in Rapid City, South Dakota and when she was 10 moved to Lexington, Nebraska. She spent her formative years in Lexington.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Kearney Teacher’s College in Kearney, Nebraska and master’s degree from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. She proudly served her community as a speech and language therapist in the Loveland School District for 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dennis Landers, and her beloved companion, Patricia Boland (and their dogs Flash and Dino).

Lee Ann treasured spending time with her loved ones at the family’s cabin in Allenspark, Colorado.

She is survived by her brother Gary and wife Kay Landers; beloved nieces and nephews Amy and Alex Pulley, grand-nieces Ophelia and Nyla Pulley; Lindsey Landers and Jeff Johnson; and Scott Landers and Amy Ransom, grand-nieces Viola and Iris Landers. Sister-in-law Diane Landers, niece and nephew Christine and Dave Boatman, grand-nieces and nephews Katie, Riley, Jeff, Sarah, Ply and Feena.

In retirement, Lee Ann enjoyed golfing with former teachers, travelling, gardening, and reading.

She will be forever remembered as being a fiercely devoted sister and aunt. Her family will always relish spending Easter at Lee Ann’s eating ham Jigger potatoes, deviled eggs, and intense games of croquet. Her laughter, love of a good time, and indelible spirit will be truly missed.
