Obituary of Timothy Paul Bunger

Timothy Paul Bunger, 68, of Loveland, CO, passed away 12/13/22.  Born in Pasadena, California in June 1954.  He was the son of the late Reverend Paul Richard Bunger and Lauretta Joyce Bunger.  Tim graduated from Canyon Del Oro HS, Tucson, AZ in 1972 and University of Colorado with a BA in Finance and Master in Organizational Management as well as a Masters Certificate in Information Systems.

During a Christian singles trip to Cancun, in 1980, he met Barbara Jean Lamb who he then married in 1984.

Tim was a flight attendant for Frontier Airlines from 1976 until 1986 when Frontier went bankrupt.  Then he went to work for American Airlines, in Dallas-Ft Worth, where he worked in Finance, Management Training, Mortgage Lending, and Account Management.  Then he went to work for Sabre in Account Management where they sold him to EDS.  At EDS he was an account manager for American Airlines, National Car Rental, and The US Navy.   Ultimately EDS was sold to Hewlett Packard and he remained at HP until being laid off from HP in 2016 at age 62.  After a year he got a job at Sam’s Club as a Sales Associate which lasted 6 months and finally, he was hired as a IT Project Manager with World Vision International.  Which took him to some exciting destinations such as Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Bangkok. 

Tim and Barbara were members of Faith Presbyterian Church in Loveland.  Tim was an avid skier, traveler, golfer, hiker, back packer, scuba diver, and enjoyed traveling to 33 different countries.

Surviving are his wife of 37 years, stepson Marty Lamb, stepson Dan Lamb, sister Sharon Wilson, sister Debbie Landis, brother Mark Bunger, brother in law Bob Wilson, brother in law Jim Landis, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, 5 grand nieces, 2 grand nephews, 1 grand niece in-law, and 3 grandchildren (Luke, Ty, and Lyla).

Tim and Barbara wanted to thank all of their good friends, that were an encouragement to them, came to visit, called, texted, and showered them with love.

A memorial service for Tim will be held, at a later date, at Faith Presbyterian Church in Loveland with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be made to the American Cancer Society.
