Obituary of Ronald Lee Sterkel

Ronald Lee Sterkel, 80, of Loveland, CO passed away at home November 17th, 2022. Rohn was born May 23rd, 1942 in Denver, CO to Jake and Ruby Sterkel; he graduated from high school in Greeley, CO and went directly into the Navy where he was honorably discharged after serving 4 years. Following the Navy Rohn joined the Larimer County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy. Rohn eventually found his passion in Sales where he made lifelong connections and never met a stranger.

Rohn enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, horses and spending time with his family and friends. 

He is survived by his wife, Roylene Sterkel, of 38 years, and his children Marci Fouts (Greg), Kristi Jenke (Rich), Jason Sterkel, and Mandi Lujan (Dan Christopher) as well as 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sister Sharon Gardner, brother-in-law Charlie Knight (Karen) and multiple nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents and sister Jackie Smith.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 28th at 10:00 am at Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland, CO. Cremation has been conducted. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Loveland Elks, Post #1051, where Rohn was a lifetime member.
