Obituary of Helen Elaine Edwards

Helen Elaine Edwards, 81, passed away peacefully early in the morning on September 18th of 2022. She is survived by her three siblings, Julia & her husband Chuck Burke of Wyoming, Marie Berry of Tennessee, Medard Murfin & his wife Annita of Indiana, and ; daughter Patty Tousignant and husband Skip Jansma of Greeley Colorado; Son Stephen & Michelle Franklin of Greeley; grandchildren Elaine Franklin of Loveland, Devyn and Connor Tousignant of Windsor.

Helen was born on May 15th, 1941, to parents Jesse and Welcome Murfin in Pendleton Indiana. She graduated high school in Pendleton Indiana 1959. She was known to love not only life, but everyone around her. She married her loving husband Howard Leland Edwards of Fort Morgan CO on April 2nd, 1983, and together they shared a beautiful life in the foothills of Colorado. If you asked her children, she was the true definition of a mountain woman.

 She found happiness in keeping the hummingbird population alive, some would say single handedly. There was not a mountain she could not scale nor a turkey she could not call. She spread joy everywhere she went through her bubbly personality and her pies that could brighten even the gloomiest soul.

 While Howard was the love of her life, one other held her heart, Mr Elvis Presley. One cannot describe Helen without touching on her love for Hound Dog and Stuck on You. It did not matter the circumstance, if Elvis sang, she danced.

 Her Celebration of Life service will be held at Redeemed Church in Greeley  located at  809 30th Ave, Greeley 10:00 am on 10/01/2022.
