Obituary of John Gary Briggs
John Gary Briggs passed away on August 28, 2022, while riding his ATV in the mountains of Wyoming. He often gathered with friends for hunting, fishing, ATVing and snowmobiling. He loved the outdoors and those who knew him recognized the spirt of a man who could of happily lived the life of a cowboy in the old west. John was also a man quite comfortable with mordern technology.
John was born July 18, 1951, in Kingman, Arizona to WIlliam H. and Betty Briggs. John was the second eldest son, and had 6 brothers and two sisters. As a young man he worked in the fields, learinging and developing skills which served him throughout his life. He worked in construction, on the oil rigs in New Mexico, he became a locksmith in Tucson, Arizona. While visiting a friends home he saw a book about electonics and was inspired to begin his education in electronics.
During his career in electronics John travelled all over the U.S., Germany, Singapore, Japan, Korea and China, teaching others and writing technical manuals. WHen he retired in January 2022, John began building models of ships, planes, tanks, trucks and cars. He was about to begin building a model train when he passed away.
John is survived by his wife of 47 plus years Fay, three brothers; Scott, Billy and Kenny, his sister Tish; his daughters Michelle and Joanna, and their children.
His family requests that any donation's to be mad to the U.S. National Park in John's memory.
John's Memorial Service Held September 10, 2022, at Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland, Colorado.
