Alexandra Sykes

Obituary of Alexandra Kate Sykes

On Sunday, August 14, 2022, Alexandra Kate Sykes, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, niece, and friend, passed away.  “Allie” or “Alex,” as many knew her, was born on October 22, 1991 to Gina Lyn and Aaron Stoltz.  She was “adopted” by Justin Moyer as a young girl and was raised by Gina & Justin.

Allie graduated from Mountain View High School in May 2008, a year early, after giving birth to her son, DJ in 2006, as a sophomore in high school.  In 2009, she became the mother of her second child, Ginny. At age 21, she began dating the love of her life, Rusty Sykes, and together they had her third child, Talin Sykes in 2013.  They were first married on March 29, 2015 in Las Vegas and then had a full ceremony in Red Feather on April 22, 2016, surrounded by friends & family.  She became a Veterinary Technician in 2019, working at Front Range Veterinary Clinic, a role she both cherished and thrived in.

Allie is survived by her loving husband, Rusty Sykes; parents: Gina Lyn & Justin Moyer; children: DJ Moyer, Ginny Hickert & Talin Sykes; brothers: Mitchell & Jason Moyer; and numerous grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She will be remembered by many as the outspoken young woman who “brought me out of my shell.”
