Obituary of Gerald Carter Green Jr.

Jerry Green, 63, of Rawlins, WY passed away August 17th 2022 after a hard fought battle with heart disease.

Jerry was born September 6th, 1958, in Grove, Oklahoma.

Jerry was raised by mother Betty (Whittaker) Morgan and stepfather Dean Morgan, along with father Gerald “Bud” Green Sr. and stepmother Eileen Green.

When he was 18 years old he served his country by joining the Navy. He proudly served his country for 12 years, from 1977-1989. When he retired he had earned the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Once retired he moved his family back home to Oklahoma. The military gave him a love of traveling and he began a career in industrial heat treating that took him all over the country.  He was devoted to his children and his family and frequently traveled to spend time with them. He was also an avid golfer and loved trying out different courses.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Bud Green, mother Betty Morgan, and stepfather Dean Morgan.

His is survived by his companion, Ramona Houseman of Rawlins, WY; his son Gerald “Trey” Green III of Miami, OK; daughter Bridgette (husband Mike) Skow of Broken Arrow, OK; daughter Rachael (husband Matthew) Watson of Many, LA. His grandchildren that he adored, Braden, Jonathon, Hayley,  Wyatt, Weston, Hunter, Faith, Silas, Shiloh, and Micah.

He is also survived by his stepmother, Eileen Green, and his siblings, Deborah (husband Loren) of Whitmore Lake, MI; Lynette (husband Jack) of Quapaw, OK; brother Brett (wife Jenise) of Cushing, OK.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
