Donna Palinkx

Obituary of Donna Marie Palinkx

Donna Marie (Connelly) Palinkx passed away at home peacefully on July 10, 2022.  She is survived by her daughter, her boyfriend, her ex husband, her siblings and sister in law, nieces and nephews in law, great nieces and nephews and numerous dear friends.

Donna worked for many years at IBM and after early retirement worked in mortgage processing and banking.  She retired for the second time from UCHealth after working with the director of the OR and in pre-admission.  Donna enjoyed working with people.

Donna volunteered and was involved in numerous types of charity work throughout her life.  While at IBM she helped bring more technology into local schools.  Donna also worked with the organization Pathways to Spirit where she helped find and organize transport of over 250 mobile homes for families on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

Donna loved to bike, walk and hike as often as possible.  She also enjoyed fiber arts and moved into paper arts later in life.  She knit, crocheted, sewed, made traditional Navajo weavings and rustic lampshades.  Donna also loved to travel and visited many National Parks and western US history sites.

She was a brave and wonderful woman who aimed to brighten people's days, listen to them and help when she could.  She gave so much to all she knew and will be deeply missed.  Donations can be made to the National Park Foundation, Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, National Indigenous Women's Resource Center or First Nations Development Institute.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 14.
