Obituary of Graham Thomas Rinehart

Graham was born and raised on a farm in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania with his parents Tom and Ada Rinehart. He walked just across the field to a one room schoolhouse where he spent his first eight years of education. After high school it was on to Muhlenberg College and Philadelphia Seminary. He began his ministry in two congregations in Pennsylvania. After marrying his wife Sandy they moved to Washington, New Jersey to establish a mission congregation. After a four year call to Littlestown, Pennsylvania it was back to serve a three church parish in Stroudsburg. He then built the leisure-recreation ministry in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. This ministry served many second home developments for people from New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia. He worked with local congregations and many interns to build chalets for worship at two ski areas. In January 1977 he arrived at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loveland, retiring in December of 1992. He was interim pastor at Faith Lutheran Eaton, and then Shepherd of the Valley in LaSalle. He served a 6 year term at Rainbow Trail Camp, Larimer County Mental Health Board, Eben Ezer Home in Brush. For twelve years Graham and Sandy delivered Meals on Wheels. He is survived by his wife Sandy (Olsen), Children: Dr. Tom Rinehart (Jeannie), Zan Pensack-Rinehart (Kathy), Jody Rinehart, Lydia Johnson (Scott). Grandchildren: Seth, Rachel, Nathan, Hannah, Matthew, Lauren and Craig. He also has 14 great-grandchildren, all under the age of 9. Such joy they bring each visit. Graham was predeceased by his parents, brother Elmer, son Peter. A wonderful life came to its earthly end on July 16, 2022 when our Lord's promise of life eternal in His kingdom began ~ Hallelujah! A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
