Obituary of Jeanette Marie Koniecki

Jeanette Marie (Lay) Koniecki, 69, of Loveland, Colorado, (formerly of Denver) went to be with her Lord and Savior, Yahshua, Friday June 17th surrounded by friends and family. Jeanette was a Colorado Native born February 12, 1953 at Porter Sanitarium and Hospital. She loved her beautiful mountains. She Graduated from Lincoln High in Denver class of ’71. In 1989 she fulfilled her lifelong dream of moving to Loveland, and resided in her home from 1990 until her passing.

Jeanette was active in politics supporting conservative grass roots candidates and issues. As a 9-12 project leader, Jeanette planned and hosted Loveland’s annual ‘Tax Day Tea Party’’. She was a leader in AWANA, teaching the Varsity kids for 13 years. And awarding 15 Citation awards to her students. Jeanette also served with ‘Soldiers Angles’ adopting American armed forces personnel and sending 5-8 monthly care packages and weekly letters to over 170 Airmen, Sailors, Guardsmen, Soldiers, and lots of her beloved Marines. She was also an avid proponent of homeschooling and took great pride in raising her son and homeschooling him from K-12

Jeanette was preceded in death by her Grandma, Sophanna Marie Johnston, Mother, Rada Jeanette (Johnston) Lay, Father, Harold Richard Lay, and Ex-husband, William Koniecki. She is survived by her Son, Adam Alexander Koniecki, Sister, Julie Lay, Niece, Stacie (Corbett) and husband Jason Schuh, Nephew, Nicholas Corbett, and her wonderful Granddaughter, Hayven Brielle, who ‘Nana’ loved very much.
