Nancy Graham

Obituary of Nancy E. Graham

Nancy Elizabeth Graham 79, of Loveland, CO passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, May 1, 2022. Nancy was born in Marengo, IL to Frank and Dorothy Ettner. She was the second blessing to the family after older brother, Thomas Franklin Ettner.

Nancy graduated from Marengo High School in 1961 as the Valedictorian of her class. She was very active in her school joining the newspaper, choir and theater groups. Afterwards, Nancy attended college to become an English teacher at Bloomington Normal prior to marrying her highschool sweetheart Glenn Croner in 1963. They soon found themselves to be parents to Jeffrey Scott Croner in 1963 and Caren Lee Cisneroz (Croner) in 1966. The family moved to Colorado in 1974, where they formed some fond memories living at an RV campground for a few months before finding their permanent home in Southwest Loveland. Nancy found her joy in homemaking and crafting, while peppering in sarcasm wherever there was room.

While Nancy and Glenn eventually parted ways, they remained incredible parents to their children. As the kids grew older Nancy entered the workforce as a cashier at Safeway where she met many lifelong friends, as well as her next husband, Bill Allison. Bill and Nancy enjoyed playing cards and entertaining friends but after a time- found that they were better friends than a couple.

For Nancy, the timing was right for the true love of her life to enter- Gary Landon Graham. They met in a rainstorm when Nancy had a flat tire on the way to work. In the days before cell phones Gary pulled over and chivalrously offered her a ride to safety. It is worth noting that Gary had long hair, a long beard and a crazy bandana around his head, and Nancy gripped the door handle the whole way back to the store. Nevertheless- sparks flew and Gary and Nancy continued getting to know each other while eventually marrying in 1988. With their marriage Nancy inherited a daughter, Ginelle (Graham) and a son, Jeff Graham whom she loved as her own.

She enjoyed garage sales, gardening, decorating, photography, travel and even roller blading with her grandchildren in her younger days. She made Christmas special for the entire family, writing a unique poem for the door of her special wrapping room warning spies to keep out every year. Nancy was most known for her jokes and sarcastic humor, looking for any opportunity to tease a loved one. Nancy loved her family with her whole heart and valued their time together. We will miss her dearly. Nancy believed in God and looked forward to the day she would be reunited with her love Gary and their many pets together, in heaven.

Nancy is survived by her loving son(s) Jeffrey Scott Croner (Shawn) and Jeff Graham, her daughter(s) Caren Lee Cisneroz (Croner), and Ginelle Graham (and her 3 children). Grandchildren Jessyka Nicole Roark (Brandon), Aleesha Ann Cisneroz, Jacklyn Kay VanHall (Jake), Jeffrey Scott Croner Jr., and her 6 beautiful great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Dorothy Ettner, brother Thomas Ettner and love of her life Gary Landon Graham.

Her family would like to thank the Medical Center of the Rockies for keeping her comfortable in her final days and exuding an exceptional kindness to her loved ones during a difficult time. A Celebration of Life will be held privately later this summer, please see the family for details
