Obituary of Matthew Paul Langton

Matt Langton passed away on January 23, 2022 in Loveland, Colorado after a courageous battle with muscular dystrophy. Matt was born in Denver, Colorado on the 4th of July. This was forever his favorite holiday and once wondered if the fireworks were in celebration of his birthday. He graduated from Laramie High School in 1993. One of his favorite memories during this time was going on Search retreats through St. Paul’s Newman Center Catholic Church. He attended Chadron State College for one year. After that, he lived and worked in various places throughout Colorado. He was currently living in Johnstown. Matt could be found most Sundays during the fall watching the Denver Broncos with his dad. He loved to read and to spend time with family and friends. His sarcasm, humor and wit will be missed. Matt is survived by his parents Lois Kirby and Ron (Lynn) Langton; sister Alison (John) Artaechevarria. Step siblings Ian (Jenna) Westbrook and Kristin Westbrook. Nephews Brody and Landon Artaechevarria; Niko and Gray Westbrook, and niece Libby Benn as well as many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde and Ann Langton; Elza and Helen Kirby. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
