Obituary of Marjorie Rose Weaver Jackson

Marjorie Rose Weaver Jackson was born on January 17, 1943 in San Benito, Texas to Emilio and Evila Weaver.  Marjorie went to be with our Lord on January 17, 2022.

Marjorie was raised in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas and graduated from San Benito High School.  She went on to study Nursing at Valley Baptist Medical Center, and after graduating, studied Biology at Pan American College while working as a nurse at Dolly Vinsant Hospital.  She met the love of her life, Ronald Franklin Jackson, and they were married on November 18, 1967.  After relocating to Oregon with the family, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the College of Idaho and was very successful in several roles focused on bettering and developing people.  She was very proud of her Hispanic heritage sharing and leveraging her culture and language skills to connect her community.

Marjorie was incredibly talented and creative.  She could turn anything into a masterpiece and was specifically well known for her beautiful Christmas decorations and even owned Marjorie’s Holiday Shoppe for a season.

Marjorie loved people and being around them. She had an infectious personality and rarely knew a stranger.  She had this amazing ability to invest in people in the moment that left them feeling loved.  Besides her husband and friends, she really enjoyed spending time with her children, grand children and great grand-children.

Most importantly, Marjorie was a fervent follower of Jesus Christ and was an amazing prayer warrior.  Always in the scripture and tending to others, Marjorie was up every morning praying and interceding for others and knew her Savior’s voice well.  She more recently had attended City Point Church in Loveland, Colorado.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Emilio Weaver Sr. and Evila Leal Weaver;  siblings: Emily “Betty” Cisneros, Benjamin Weaver, Mary Helen Stith, Walter Weaver, Mary Alice “Licha" Hinojosa, Emilio Weaver Jr., and Richard “Dickey” Weaver and grand child Luke Sterkel.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Ronald Jackson; her 3 children Jason Jackson (and wife Yasuko), Marisol Jackson, and Ronica Rose Sterkel (and husband Corby); 19 grand children:  Isaac (32), Elizabeth (31), Daniel (30), Aaron (27), Taylor (26), Ashely (26), Adrienne Linell (24), Joshua (24), Allison (23), Caleb (23), Andrea Rose (21), Emily (19), Tristan (15), Ava Grace (14), Noah (12), Anani Rose (11), Elijah (7), Miles (6), Ethan (4); and 4 great grand children: Alexander (2), Alyss Rose (1), Zayden (1), and Liam (8 months).
