Obituary of Harold Arthur Lutz

Harold Arthur Lutz, 96, died January 5, 2022 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Loveland, Colorado. Harold was a native of Loveland and was born to Marie and Henry Lutz on November 19, 1925. Harold served in the Army during WWII as a paratrooper and medic and upon his discharge, he settled in Loveland, Colorado as a US Postal Sevice Employee. During his time as a Postal Employee, he met and married Ardelle B. Rowenhorst. Ardelle was a widow on his mail route where they met, fell in love and married on April 19, 1963. Harold adopted Ardelle’s three daughters, Constance, Candice and Carrie. Following Harold’s retirement from the US Postal Service after 26 years, Harold and Ardelle moved to Pahrump, Nevada in 1979. Harold enjoyed building homes, fishing and spending time with his family. Upon the death of his wife, Ardelle, Harold returned to Loveland, Colorado and lived with his daughter Connie until 3 months ago when he moved to Brookdale Assisted Living. Besides his wife, Ardelle, he was preceeded in death by his youngest daughter Carrie. Harold is surived by his daughters Constance DuBois and husband James DuBois of Loveland, Colorado and daughter Candice Edwards and husband Richard Edwards of Timnath, Colorado. He also has five grandchildren: Jason DuBois and wife Brooke Dubois of Fort Collins, Colorado; Courtney Harshberger and husband Daniel Harshberger of Durango, Colorado; Brittany Kogut and husband Scott Kogut of Commerce City, Colorado; Ryan Edwards and wife Amanda Edwards of Parker, Colorado and Matthew Edwards and wife Caitlin Edwards of Quincy, Massachusetts. Harold has eight great grandchildren, Taylor DuBois, Damon Harshberger, Charlie Harshberger, Landon Kogut, Paisley Kogut, Emmaline Edwards, Annabelle Edwards and Wyatt Edwards. Harold is also survived by his sisters, Judy Brunmeier of Loveland, Colorado and Juna Wergin of Greenwood, South Carolina. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
