I met Ken about 10 years ago, when I began visiting his congregation once in awhile every time I was in the area from Wisconsin. I was struck by his kindness and friendliness, as well as his knowledge of history. Being a history buff myself, I always enjoyed his perspectives, especially when we were on various trips to Israel. But one of the things I noticed the most was his passion for the Lord through worship dance. His enthusiasm was contagious! I already miss Ken so much, and I look forward to the day when I will see you again, in the Lord’s presence. Lahitriot, Ken, and Rest In Peace my friend!

Kenny was and, the Medialdeas were, always selfless. Kenny was kind--like an older brother--to me. Except I have an older brother, and he used to ditch me any opportunity he had. Kenny, on the other hand, used to go out of his way to pick me up so that I could be included in most days' goings on. I recall that he would drive so slow. In actuality, Kenny drove the speed limit. When the light turned green, Kenny would jackrabbit his car off the line to beat the other cars to the speed limit--and that's as fast as he would drive. Kenny was creative in the media arts. He wrote many faith-based productions. He had a unique way of bringing the scriptures to life--so that those who watched his productions could better understand them. He focused on conversations that the characters might have said where the events to have occurred in more contemporaneous times.
Doris and Ernie (Kenny's parents) always welcomed me into their home. Ernie is the first person that I knew who owned his own PC. He had an all-in-one suitcase computer that sat on his dining room bar. Ernie let me play Space Invaders on that PC as well as to explore other things that computers could do. To this day, I attribute Ernie's willingness to allow me to explore his wonderous device for my current proficiency in using and exploiting computers. Doris was like a caring second mom to me. She tried to feed me every time I came into her home.
I've had the joy of reconnecting to Kenny, many years ago, with the help of social media. We shared viewpoints concerning the world in which we lived. I enjoyed seeing pictures of Kenny's trips to Israel, and I was the proud recipient of his most recent book celebrating the plight of Israelites through the ages. I am personally saddened to learn of the loss of Kenny and his mother, but I am also blessed beyond words to have had Kenny and the Medialdeas in my life for as long as I did!
My sincere condolences go out to Ernie during this tragic time.
