Obituary of David William Carr

David (Dave) Carr, 62, of Loveland passed away unexpectedly at his home on November 11, 2021. He was born December 12, 1958 in Sarnia, Ontario Canada to Doug and Doreen Carr. Due to Doreen’s health the family moved to Loveland in 1967. In 1984 he met the love of his life Arlinda (Lynn) Gorter. They married on October 5, 1985. They built a life together as Dave built a successful business, D&D Drywall. Dave was a hard working husband and father. He understood family was the highest priority and invested his time and his love in his family. Dave was an amazing, fun loving husband and father. He was also a "Papa” extraordinaire to his grandchildren who adored him. Dave was a man of action, always ready to roll up his sleeves when in need. He was the "go to" for his siblings and many friends. He loved spending time with his family and friends and lived his days to the fullest. He was an avid hockey fan and season ticket holder for the Colorado Eagles. He is survived by his wife Lynn, children James, Michael (Caity), Lindsey; grandchildren Cody, Madisyn, Jaxon, Baylee and Nolan; siblings Bruce, Penny, Barb, Laurie (Todd), Dan (Nicole), Stuart (Stephanie); brothers-in-law Gary, John, Kevin (Lisa), Del (Reggie), Doug (Tammy), Brad (Sue); and numerous nieces and nephews.
