Obituary of Jerry Michael Wisdom

Jerry Michael Wisdom was born March 9, 1976 in Sterling, Colorado to JoAnn K. Wisdom and Larry W. Wisdom. He died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 47 on February 12, 2024 at his home in Evans, Colorado. He leaves behind his bride Heather of 21 years and two children Adelyn Larae (Addie) age 13 and Kayson Michael age 9. Siblings Karen Newbanks and brother-in-law Mike, Larry Keller and sister-in-law Tamie, Shelly Keller, Missy Newbanks and brother-in-law Brent. In-laws Doug and Lynn Koehler, Sister-in-law Jeny Laugel and husband Mike. Nieces and nephews Kyle and Landen Keller, Jacqueline Robirds, Mitchell Wild, Dalton and wife Aspen, Kaitlyn, and Bryce Newbanks, and Weston and Riley Laugel.

His pride and joy were his beautiful family. They enjoyed having a garden where they planted all kinds of flowers and just spent time together. He enjoyed sharing his love of fishing, especially teaching them how to gut a fish, as well as camping, setting around the campfire, building wood working projects, shooting guns, playing games, and watching them in sports. He enjoyed hosting 4th of July for his family and neighbors. He deeply loved his country and was a true American Patriot. He loved to cook up a good Cajun boil and barbecue. Jerry had a big heart; anytime he was asked to help with anything, Jerry was there for family, friends, and neighbors. He enjoyed watching football on Sundays and cried when his beloved Chiefs won back-to-back in the Super Bowl this year.

Jerry was a proud owner of Wisdom Services doing landscaping and maintenance for several HOA's. When they moved to Evans, Jerry and Heather ran Big City Burrito together and that is where his passion for cooking began, which turned into many gatherings with family and friends. He had a love of farming and frequently visited Mike and Karen's farm in Yuma, Colorado. In his younger years, he served at Berthoud Police Department.

Growing up in the small town of Fleming, Colorado, Jerry never lost his roots and was proud to be a Wildcat. He had so many vivid memories from his childhood, such as taking family vacations, spending time with his grandparents, playing sports, and raising heck like any boy does in a small community. His friends were a big part of his life, and he loved reminiscing about all the shenanigan’s they got into.

We will never forget Jerry's smile, laughter, and the way he loved to joke around with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all of us.

Jerry entered the heavenly gates welcomed by his loving parents, grandparents, and other family and friends.

His Celebration of Life will be Monday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m. in Loveland at Foundations Church (1380 Denver Ave).
